NMEDA Manufacturer Service School Coming in May

NMEDA’s next Manufacturer Service School takes place in person, May 22-25, in Sarasota, Fla. The four-day event, hosted by Harmar, includes training and certification opportunities with nine manufacturers: Adapt Solutions, AMF-Bruns of America, BraunAbility, ColleBuilt, Harmar, Mobility Innovations, MPS, Q’STRAINT, and SureGrip.

In a March 27 news announcement, the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association said, “Don’t miss this chance to earn multiple certifications in one trip. Each session includes in-depth, hands-on training, as well as practical applications discussed and modeled in a real-life setting.”

Making the World More Accessible

Your daily smile: When a grant fell short of the amount they needed to make their school’s playground more accessible, fifth- and sixth-graders at Glen Lake Elementary School in Minnetonka, Minn., went to work. What We’re Reading: Permobil Portraits Highlights CRT Community

The new Permobil Portraits series celebrates the many stakeholders in Complex Rehab Technology (CRT), from Clinical Education Manager Ashley Detterbeck, DPT, ATP/SMS (who was the first to be profiled); to Corey “Pheez” Lee, a musician and Navy veteran who served on the U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt; to Kara Kopplin, Permobil’s Director of Regulatory Science, and possibly the only 9-year-old whose birthday cake decorations included a test tube.

The Portraits are quick, entertaining reads… and a great way to learn more about the talented and hard-working colleagues all around us.
